Photobucket - Video and Image HostingNetting Nations was pleased to get a warm letter of encouragement from Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE). The Nebraska Senator has been a solid supporter of increased funding for malaria, AIDS, and Tuberculosis, and most recently, The Malaria Vaccine Initiative (MVI). The MVI was created with an initial US$50 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH). MVI seeks to accelerate the development of promising malaria vaccine candidates and ensure their availability for the developing world. For further information about MVI, visit the Web site at malariavaccine.org. PATH (path.org) is dedicated to improving health, especially the health of women and children. Senator Hagel is a rare commodity in government--a man who supports party lines but, at the same time, does not let it dictate is decision making. He has been one of the few men to call out his own president on certain aspects of his leadership, but also provide sound support regarding other areas.

Sen. Hagel will continue to be a great supporter of humanitarian projects world-wide!!
