Malaria is a public health problem in over 100 countries worldwide. Incidences of malaria in the world may be in the order of 300 million clinical cases each year.
How do you get malaria?
By being bitten by malaria-carrying mosquitoes. Not all mosquitoes carry malaria,only those of the genus Anopheles. The organism that causes malaria is the Plasmodium parasite. There are four types but one type, Plasmodium falciparum, accounts for almost all fatal cases.
